Damak: Two persons died in separate road accidents in Jhapa district last night.
A person died after a motorcycle (Pradesh 1-01-016 Pa 899) hit pedestrian Gopal Rai, 40, at Campus Mode in Damak-9 along the East-West Highway. Another person was critically injured.
Police said Rai died while receiving treatment at the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital.
Likewise, a tipper knocked a girl to death in Bhadrapur on Thursday. The District Traffic Police Office said 11-year-old Shilpa Rishidev of Bhadrapur Municipality-7 died in the accident.
Police said that critically injured in the mishap, Shilpa died at B and C Hospital, Birtamod.
