School bus hits motorcycle in Kirtipur; APF constable dies

Kathmandu: An Armed Police Force constable died in a road accident in Kirtipur on Sunday morning. 

According to Nepal Police, the constable deployed at the APF Headquarters in Halchowk died as a motorcycle he was riding was hit by a school bus. The school bus belongs to Modern Indian School of Kirtipur.

The deceased has been identified as Subash Chandra Ratela, 29. Ratela died in the course of treatment at the Balkhu-based Vayodha Hospital, according to Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Police.

According to police, it has already arrested the bus driver, and has launched an investigation into the case.
