Kathmandu: Rival faction of the Nepali Congress led by Dr Shekhar Koirala has decided to field Gagan Thapa for the election for the parliamentary party leader. Thapa will contest against Sher Bahadur Deuba, the party president and Prime Minister.
The meeting between two leaders also came to a conclusion that Koirala would propose Thapa for the election of PP leader.
Issuing a notice on Sunday, the Nepali Congress said that the election for the parliamentary party leader would be held on Wednesday.
