CPN (Unified Socialist) decides to support Prachanda government

Kathmandu: The CPN (Unified Socialist) on Tuesday has decided to vote to support the trust motion put forth by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. 

The party’s spokesperson, Jagannath Khatiwada, said that the party has decided to support the government while remaining in opposition. 

The CPN (Unified Socialist) holds 10 seats in the House of Representatives. As required by the constitution, Prime Minister Dahal is seeking a vote of confidence in the parliament following his appointment by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on December 25. 

Under Article 76(2), the prime minister must secure a vote of confidence within 30 days of appointment.
