Former CIAA commissioner Raj Narayan Pathak found guilty of corruption; Court slaps jail term and Rs 3.9 million in fine

Kathmandu: The Special Court on Thursday indicted Raj Narayan Pathak, commissioner of Commission for Investigation of Abuse and Authority, on corruption charges.

The court slapped Pathak, who earlier accepted taking Rs 7.8 million in bribe from a college, a jail term of three years and three months, and Rs 3.9 million in fine.

Earlier in 2019, court released Pathak on Rs 7.8 million bail.

Likewise, the court has also slapped three years jail term and Rs 3.9 million in fine to Lambodar Neupane, who bribed Pathak.
