Pokhara plane crash: 69 bodies retrieved, 41 identified; efforts underway to bring the bodies to Kathmandu

Efforts are underway to send some of the dead bodies of the plane crash to Kathmandu, according to officials.

The process of handing over identified dead bodies from Pokhara and its vicinity started on Monday.

Government officials are preparing to send bodies that can not be ascertained. Similarly, bodies of foreign nationals, crew members, and residents of Kathmandu and the vicinity would be sent to Kathmandu, Rastriya Samachar Samiti has quoted Chief District Officer Tek Bahadur KC as saying.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), 41 bodies have been identified so far and the post-mortem was going on accordingly. MI 17 helicopter deployed to bring the bodies to Kathmandu, CAAN said.
