74th republic day of India: PM Dahal, KP Oli congratulate Modi and Indian people

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML chair KP Sharma Oli have extended congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian people on the occasion of 74th republic day of India. “On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India, I extend warm felicitations and best wishes to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the government and friendly people of India,” PM Dahal wrote on Twitter.

Likewise, former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair K P Sharma Oli has also extended a message of congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian people on the occasion of 74th republic day of India.  Oli, who is also the coordinator of the high-level political mechanism formed to assist and advise the government, extended congratulations by posting the message on his Twitter post. “On the occasion of the 74th republic day of India, the day when India was declared as a sovereign, democratic and republic nation, I extend hearty congratulations to my friend Sri Narendra Modiji and Indian people,” Oli wrote on Twitter. “On this occasion,  I believe that cooperation between the two countries on development issue will be further strengthened while developing relations based on deep mutual friendship, mutual respect and trust.”

India is marking 74th republic day today by organizing various programs in the country. In Kathmandu, the embassy of India celebrated the day with various programs.

According to the embassy, on the occasion, the Indian ambassador Naveen Srivastava felicitated war widows and  next of kins of deceased soldiers by disbursing their dues of NRs 4.60 crore and blankets. The embassy also unveiled Bhu Puu-2022 magazine covering the welfare initiatives of the government of India. The Embassy is gifting books worth NR 16 Lakh to 23 institutions on the occasion, according to the embassy.
