TIA general manager Premnath Thakur suspended

Kathmandu: Premnath Thakur, general manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, has been suspended for allegedly seeking bribes from a foreign airline company. 

According to Rajendra Kumar KC, spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Thakur has been suspended for investigation as an audio conversation of him seeking bride from airline company came to light. “The ministry has decided to investigate the matter, and it has informed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to proceed with the investigation.”

Thakur was appointed to the post on February 18, 2020.
