Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has called on the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) to end its protest and return health workers to their regular duties.

In a statement, Joint Spokesperson for MoHP, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, urged all doctors and health workers to stop their protest and return to providing healthcare services.

The NMA had decided to suspend all health services, except for emergencies, in response to police action against senior orthopedic surgeon Dr. Janithlal Singh of the National Trauma Center, on February 10.

Dr Adhikari also said that the Nepal Police have suspended the security personnel involved in the incident and are conducting an investigation.
