Bal Krishna Khand remanded into custody for four days

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu District Court has remanded former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand into custody for four days. 

Khand was arrested on Wednesday by a team of Kathmandu Police from his residence for his alleged involvement in a Bhutanese refugee scam. 

This investigation has already led to the arrest of 10 high-ranking bureaucrats and politicians accused of deceiving hundreds of Nepalis by promising to send them to the United States as Bhutanese refugees.
