Triveni: A couple lost their lives after drowning in the Narayani River in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta-East) district.
The victims, Som Bahadur Bote, 55 years old, and his spouse Bagari Bote, 50 years old, residents of Madhyabindu-2, Kolhuwa, died while attempting to cross the Narayani River at Madhyabindu municipality-2, Nandapur, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Santosh Pathak of Nawalpur.
The Bote couple went into the river to gather edible wild vegetables and they were swept away by its force.
They were reported missing on Sunday evening and were later discovered lifeless on the same day.
