President to address joint meeting of parliament, present government’s policies and programs

This is the first address to the parliament after Ram Chandra Paudel was elected head of state in March this year.

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to address the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat the President will address the meeting of the Federal Parliament at 4:00 this afternoon in the Federal Parliament Building, Naya Baneshwor.

The President is scheduled to present the policies and programs of the government for the upcoming fiscal year—2023/2024.  

This is the first address to the parliament after Paudel was elected head of state in March this year.

President was in India for treatment for 11 days in April and returned home on May 1. Earlier it was speculated that he might not be able to present the policies and programs due to health issues.
