Kathmandu: Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu provided scholarships to 198 Nepali students from government schools on Tuesday. ‘Ambassador of Pakistan scholarships’ were handed over to the deserving and bright students by National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina at a function held in the capital.  The awardees were selected by respective principals of 43 schools across the country.

Speaking at the occasion, Timilsina lauded Pakistan for its continued support and advancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed appreciation for the embassy’s efforts which, he said, had gone a long way in bringing the youth of the two countries closer.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi expressed his resolve and desire to further expand the scholarship program and strengthening Pakistan-Nepal bilateral relations. He said Nepali youth’s encouragement in studies, sports and healthy social activities is the mainstay of Nepal-Pakistan cooperation.
