Janakpur: At least five people were injured as police opened fire at cadres of CK Raut-led Janamat Party at Portaha bridge in Dhanusa district on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, it had to open fire as cadres were obstructing the East-West Highway.
The injured have been rushed to a local hospital.
The condition of two cadres is critical, it is said.
