Kathmandu: Department of Social Work at Orchid International College is organizing an Inter-college BSW College Futsal Tournament from Bhadra 26 to 29.
A total of 16 teams, eight males and eight females, will participate in the competition which will be held at Orchid International’s Futsal Ground in Bijaychowk, Gaushala.
The tournament is meant for fostering close relationships, communication, and unity between the Department of Social Work of various colleges and their students, according to the organizer. This event will be an excellent platform for youth to showcase their athletic prowess, learn more about social work as well as create a network for future social work-related programs.
Participating men’s teams will be divided into four groups and women’s teams will be divided into two groups. There will be four teams in each group. Initially, each group will play on a round robin basis. All four teams will compete with each other. The top two teams in the group will enter the next stage. From the second round, the knockout round will follow.
The male team will receive Rs 30,000 and the female team Rs 10,000 for first and second place in 46 different games respectively. Similarly, the first team from the female category will receive Rs 10,000. The best player, the best goalkeeper and the highest scorer will each receive special awards, according to the organizer.
