Kathmandu: The death toll in the Pokhara plane crash has reached 36, and authorities fear there would be no survivors.
“The rescue operation is still ongoing, but chances of survival are low as the plane was severely damaged and split into three parts,” Tek Bahadur KC, the chief district officer of Kaski. “The fire has been contained.”

The Yeti Airlines aircraft was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara when it crashed near the Pokhara International Airport on Sunday morning. The ATR 72 aircraft, with the call sign 9N-ANC, crashed at 10:30am. On board were three infants, three children, and 62 adults, including 15 foreigners, among them five Indian nationals.
